Braeburn was an unplanned seedling discovered in New Zealand in 1952, and is thought to be a cross between Lady Hamilton and Granny Smith. It is great for fresh use and cooking, and is considered to be in the top ten favorite apples by international experts. Braeburn is a crisp, juicy apple with spicy-sweet flavor, and color which varies from orange to red over yellow.
